We have made the above CGI:IRC chat feature available for you to use in order to chat from a web browser at your current location. However, to get the most out of IRC, and for a much better user experience, we highly recommend that you use a standalone IRC client.
The most popular ones are mIRC for Windows, X-Chat for Linux/Unix and IRCLE for Macintosh systems.

Additional information
Note that the list of channels is a short list only, and you can join any channel of your choice simply by typing /join #ChannelName. eg: /join #Chat
You can type /list for a full list of channels that are currently open (with at least one user in the channel).
It is best to type these commands in the status
window, so that you do not accidentally send your command to the channel
you are in (for example if you forgot the / at the beginning of the command).
